The Saudi Family Visit Visa is a Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) service that allows eligible citizens and residents to request visits for qualifying family members.
For residents, the service covers first-degree relatives, including parents, wife and children. Residents must have a valid work Iqama, not a dependent or relative Iqama.

Applicants must:
- Submit the application electronically through the Saudi Visa Platform.
- Enter the required information in Arabic.
- Enter non-Arab visitors' names exactly as shown in their passports.
- Complete electronic authentication through the Chamber of Commerce or employer where required.
- Provide the required visitor documents.

- Valid passport
- Recent personal photo with a white background
- Medical insurance
- Proof of relationship
- Invitation/application document

- Select Services for Citizens and Residents.
- Choose Family Visit Visa Application.
- Enter the visitor's information exactly as shown in the passport.
- Upload the required documents.
- Complete authentication where required.
- Submit the application and keep the application number for tracking.
After approval, a visa number is issued and the visitor completes the required procedures through the Saudi embassy or consulate.
Saudi Family Visit Visa Fees
The current Saudi National Portal lists the service cost as SAR 300.
Payment is available through SADAD, credit card and Mada.

MOFA lists 3 business days for the Family Visit Request stage, while the current Saudi National Portal lists 5 working days for the Family Visit Visa service.

Can You Extend the Visa?
Yes. Jawazat states that eligible single-entry visit visas can be extended electronically 7 days before expiry through:
- Absher Individuals
- Absher Business
- Muqeem
Medical insurance is required, an extension fee applies, and the total extension period cannot exceed 180 days.
Family Visit Visa vs Residence Visa
A Family Visit Visa is for visiting Saudi Arabia, while a Residence Visa is a separate service for eligible family members who will reside in the Kingdom.
