Who Can Renew Online?
DGI&P provides online passport renewal services for overseas Pakistanis. You can generally apply when your passport has expired or has less than one year of validity remaining.
Step 1: Open the Official Portal
Visit the official DGI&P Online Passport Portal:
Create an account or sign in if you already have one.
Step 2: Select Passport Renewal
After signing in, choose the Passport Renewal option and start your application.
Step 3: Enter Your Details
When creating your account, enter your information exactly as shown on your Pakistani official documents.
For applicants living in Saudi Arabia, fill the fields as follows:
- Given Name(s): Enter your given/first name exactly as shown on your CNIC/NICOP or passport.
- Surname: Enter your surname/family name exactly as shown on your documents.
- Country: Select Saudi Arabia if you are applying from Saudi Arabia. This refers to the country you are applying from, not your nationality.
- Mobile No: Enter your Saudi mobile number with the +966 country code.
- Email: Enter an active email address that you can access. The portal uses it for authentication.
- CNIC: Enter your Pakistani CNIC/NICOP number.
- Issue Date: Enter the issue date of your CNIC/NICOP.
- Password: Create a password according to the requirements shown on the portal.
- Re-type Password: Enter the same password again.
- Code: Enter the security code shown in the CAPTCHA.
Important: Check your name, CNIC/NICOP number and issue date carefully before continuing. Use the information exactly as it appears on your official documents.

Step 4: Upload Your Documents
Upload the documents requested by the online system. For a normal renewal, keep your CNIC/NICOP and previous passport available.
Make sure all uploaded documents and photographs are clear and readable.
Step 5: Complete the Application
Follow the application sections and provide the required information, including the details requested by DGI&P's online system.
Review everything carefully before continuing.
Step 6: Pay the Passport Fee
Pay the applicable passport fee online using the payment method available through the portal.
The final amount depends on factors such as the passport type, validity, pages and processing option.
Step 7: Submit Your Application
After completing the payment and reviewing your information, submit the application.
DGI&P will process the application and may carry out the required verification.
Step 8: Track Your Application
Keep your application details and check the email address registered with your account for status updates.
DGI&P provides online application-status notifications for applicants.
Step 9: Receive Your Passport
Eligible overseas applicants can select home delivery through the online service and have the renewed passport delivered to their address.
