How the Calculator Works

The calculation takes into account the standard end of service award structure and the special rules that may apply when an employee resigns.

How Is End of Service Benefit Calculated?

Under Saudi Labor Law, the standard end of service award is calculated using the worker's last wage.

For the first five years of service, the award is based on half a month's wage for each year. For every year after the first five years, the award is based on one month's wage per year.

Parts of a year are calculated proportionally according to the period actually worked.

End of Service Benefit After Resignation

• Different rules can apply when an employee resigns.
• For continuous service of at least two years and up to five years, the employee is generally entitled to one-third of the calculated award.
• For service exceeding five years but less than ten years, the employee is generally entitled to two-thirds of the calculated award.
• For service of ten years or more, the employee is generally entitled to the full award.
